So letter H is the focus here, but of course we have h-h-heaps more. Here are some things we did this week, as well as letter H activities.
Lacing letter H
~~~~~~~~~
Put an X on the objects that are different.
(After thinking about it, I should have had him try to write letter H!)
~~~~~~~~~
Find and circle every Hh
~~~~~~~~~
Large, medium and small - circle the smallest owl, apple, and leaf. Circle the largest squirrel, acorn, and raccoon.
~~~~~~~~~
Cover letter Hh (maze) with hearts to get the hammer to the nail!
~~~~~~~~~
Color just eight smiley faces. He didn't exactly follow directions but he did this as quickly as my 8 year old would. I was impressed. :)
~~~~~~~~~
I found this at a dollar store in our mall. You guessed it, it was $1!
~~~~~~~~~
Sorting colors with the $3 grabber Daddy bought Bug at Target's Dollar Spot
~~~~~~~~~
Sorting Cuisenaire Rods by color
Can you tell which colors are Mr. Guggle Buggle's favorites?
~~~~~~~~~
Forming letter Hh with Cuisenaire Rods
~~~~~~~~~
Upper/lowercase match-ups.
This is one of his favorite things to do because he's so good at it. So, we do it a lot because he feels so great about himself when he is finished.
~~~~~~~~~
It was a short week with letter H, but I will add more activities as we get to them. :)
